Biography

It all started with a treadmill.

Who am I?

It all started with me, a treadmill… and the urge to change my life.

My name is Charlotte, I’m 32. And before creating NEXT, I had to learn how to find myself again.

Before I was the woman who founded NEXT, I was a little girl who grew up with violence, obesity, abandonment and excess. Everything was in place to destroy me.

But in the end, everything I went through would also become the material I rebuilt myself with.

My body and me

Growing up obese is not only a matter of weight. It is growing up looking at yourself differently.

It is learning to compare yourself very early. Wondering whether people are watching. Sometimes wanting to disappear from photographs. Choosing clothes for what you would like to hide rather than what you would like to show.

It is knowing the insecurities, the comments, the lack of confidence, and that feeling of never quite belonging.

For a long time I lived as though I were at war with my own body.

I tried to change. Several times. I knew the bursts of motivation when you want to overturn everything, then the moments when you give up. The fresh starts. The disappointments. The promises you make to yourself and cannot always keep.

In time I understood something: my real fight was not only against my weight. It was against the way I looked at myself.

Excess

Like many people trying to outrun what they feel, I looked for ways out. Drugs. Alcohol. Excess.

I have always had an intense, addictive personality. When something grips me, I can give it enormous space. For certain stretches of my life, that intensity carried me far away from myself.

So I had to make a choice. Stop destroying myself, and find something that could channel all that energy.

And then there was the treadmill

One day I bought my first treadmill. Just a treadmill. I did not yet know it was going to change my life.

I started walking. Then I did it again the next day. And again after that.

I put my music on, I walked, I sweated, I thought. For a few moments I had nothing to run from. I was simply there, with myself.

Little by little, the treadmill became my refuge. It saved me.

It taught me I did not need to change everything in a day. I just had to move forward. One step. Then another. And another.

I discovered that training could be far more than a physical transformation. It could become a way to rebuild yourself, to recover confidence and, above all, to reconnect with who you are.

And I fell in love with the treadmill.

That is where NEXT was born

I asked myself: what if I created a place where other people could feel what I had felt on that treadmill?

Not a cold gym. Not somewhere you go to feel guilty about your body.

I wanted to create a living place. Somewhere you can arrive alone and leave feeling part of something.

That is how NEXT was born.

But NEXT is not only the treadmill

Everything at NEXT tells a part of my story too. Beauty. Wellbeing. Treatments. Music. Events. Training. Creation. The people you meet.

I love worlds that mix people and passions. I love learning. I love passing things on. I love helping someone believe in their idea and take it further.

And above all, I love creating experiences. Because I have always been an artist.

To me, creating a place is not simply choosing the decor or installing equipment. It is creating an energy. An atmosphere. An emotion.

NEXT is my world.

I don’t claim to have it all figured out

I am still fighting, every single day. With my habits, my excesses, my doubts, my relationship with my body, and all those small things you sometimes keep struggling against even when everyone else thinks you are fine.

But today I have learned to transform my battles. My wounds into strength. My excesses into energy. My passions into projects. And my story into something I can share.

My name is Charlotte, I’m 32, and NEXT is probably the most beautiful thing I have built out of everything I have lived.

I don’t know where my next step will take me. But I know one thing: I will keep moving forward. And I hope NEXT gives other people the urge to take their first step.

It all started with me, a treadmill… nothing left to lose but weight.

Welcome to NEXT.
